My Story

2014 was a turbulent year.  I developed a pervasive sense of uneasiness and anxiety as a consequence of the change that I was experiencing in life. After struggling through these feelings for a year, I decided to try something new: Yoga!  I went to my first real power vinyasa class and it kicked my butt. Lying there in savasana after class, I experienced a sense of peace that had eluded me.  I felt completely at ease.

I was then, hooked on yoga.

I tried to practice at least 4 times a week.  I constantly looked forward to the next moment I would be on the mat, focusing on my practice and being in the moment.

After 3 years of doing yoga on a weekly basis, I decided to complete my 200 hour yoga teacher training through Kindness Yoga. Yoga teacher training has opened my eyes to much more than the physical benefits of the practice.  Learning about teaching and helping others with their own mind and body awareness has been an enlightening experience; one that I am deeply grateful for.

Yoga is a completely different physical activity than any other sport and activity I've tried before. Yoga differentiates from other forms of exercise specifically focusing on a glandular level. Yogas improves circulation in endocrine glands, which improves mood. The relaxation feeling that you get at the end of your yoga practice comes from working your parasympathetic nervous system. The results of yoga in my body have always fascinated me to learn more about the anatomy of yoga.

My passion for yoga motivates me to help others improve and deepen their practice, and for me, there is no better feeling than assisting others with the same passion.

I look forward to practicing with you!
